Dubard School Speakeasy

The DuBard School Speakeasy began in 2012 as a celebration of the gift of language and an opportunity for the school to gain lifelong friends and supporters. The Speakeasy recognizes the 55+ years of service DuBard School has provided to individuals by helping them to “speak easy.” The DuBard School Speakeasy is a night of music, food, drinks and dancing – all while spreading the good news of the school and the life-changing DuBard Association Method®.

In light of the current health crisis, we have decided it best to modify the 2020 DuBard School Speakeasy. Rather than cancel the evening altogether, we have partnered with Brass Hat in Midtown Hattiesburg to allow our school patrons to support us through a profit share event. No tickets will be sold. Everyone will be welcome to wear Speakeasy attire and join us for dinner and drinks at Brass Hat on Thursday, Oct. 1, 2020. The restaurant has generously offered to donate a portion of proceeds from the evening.

On this giveback night, we will be promoting DuBard School in various ways throughout the restaurant and providing opportunities for additional giving. The structure of the event will follow restaurant capacity and social distancing guidelines that are set in place at that time.

We plan to return to our traditional event in 2021. Friends from throughout the region are invited to celebrate the DuBard School on Thursday, Oct. 7, 2021 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. The 1920s-themed event will be at the Bottling Company in Downtown Hattiesburg. There will be a jazz band, themed dancers, heavy hors d'oeuvres, and prohibition-inspired cocktails.
